(Douglas).- Brazil’s regulated market for online gaming and sports betting launched at the start of 2025 and will add to the buzz of excitement at SBC Summit Rio on February 26-27.

The Altenar team is gearing up for a busy few days in Rio De Janeiro as a new era of iGaming starts to evolve, with the market offering huge potential for operators who are able to navigate the challenges that remain in Brazil.
Sales Manager Frederico Caputi is based in Brazil and will be part of the Altenar delegation in Rio, where he will be taking part in a panel named ‘The Next Chapter for Sports Betting’ which will discuss how the market is adapting to the new regulations and the future roadmap.
Reflecting on the current industry landscape in Brazil and across the region, he said: “Latin America's sports betting and iGaming scene is booming and Brazil is set to be at the forefront of that. The passion when it comes to sport is famous around the world and that can only mean good things when it comes to the sports betting industry.
“The market is ripe for expansion, especially if companies play their cards right with local content and payment options, and Altenar has the technology and the expertise needed to help operators thrive as the market takes off.
“Our global experience in regulated markets means we can support clients with tailored solutions which navigate compliance while maximising profits and providing the betting experience that players expect.”
Visitors to Altenar’s booth in Rio can learn more about our recent advancements in sportsbook technology, which include our unique bet acceptance logic, risk management tools, and our expanded range of player engagement features which are designed to maximise retention as well as profitability for operators..
New features made possible by partnerships with leading data providers include fast market widgets, which help operators make the most of the growing demand for in-play betting and instant gratification, while a standalone esports lobby caters to the needs of a growing gaming fanbase.
Altenar’s support for operators in the region was enhanced by the opening of an office in São Paulo recently and Frederico is excited by the potential for growth in a variety of markets.
He added: “This year is set to be a pivotal year and we are committed to driving innovation and delivering the best sportsbook solutions to operators in all regulated markets. “We have ambitious plans to expand our risk management tools and fine-tune our personalisation features, while we are ready to explore new strategic partnerships across Central and South America, as well as refining our approach to emerging markets.”
